Wetsuit For Diving In Cold Water-7mm

When people are getting all prepped up for their spearfishing adventures, they usually pay a more significant part of their attention to spearfishing tools instead of the type of wetsuit they are wearing for their journey. A common misconception is to think that as long as the wetsuit fits, there is no problem. However, the answer couldn’t be farther from the truth. Picking a right speargun for you is essential, of course, but I dare to say that getting the right wetsuit is as vital and shouldn’t be underestimated.

If the water where you’re planning your trip is a little colder(10-17 C) you should make sure that you’ll wear the right wetsuit. In this shortlist, we’ll be talking about the best 7mm wetsuits out there. Giving our thoughts on why are they great and in which aspects they are lacking. Stick around!

Cressi Tecnica

The Cressi Tecnica is a two-piece wetsuit, which means that you can put both parts separately. The first thing we must mention is its camouflage design which is an excellent feature because you are harder to detect wearing said pattern avoiding unnecessary attention from your prey. You wouldn’t want to scare them off. Being flexible you can move with no restrictions.

On top of a great design, it has a hood, the jacket provides a hood for protecting your head. Overall it offers extra strength and durability. As an added durability feature the knee and shin area of the overalls and the elbows of the jacket are reinforced.

Cressi Tecnica also offers a lot of flexible materials and provides loads of support to elbows, knees, and shoulders. All critical areas need protection, especially the chest which has a chest gun-loading pad that makes the process of loading your gun a lot easier.

Now, talking about the feel of Cressi Tecnica is smooth inside which will prevent any irritation, a universal evil that comes with lousy wetsuits. Click here for current pricing on Amazon.

O’Neill Dive Wetsuits 7mm Sector Fluid Seam Weld Full Suit

This  7mm Men’s O’Neill SECTOR SCUBA Wetsuit offers high-performance protection for the uncompromising diver. The long list of high-end features includes:

-ultra-flex neoprene wetsuit that excels in quality

-chest and back panels to ensure proper heat retention;

-few as possible seams liquid taped  that work together with the waterproof zipper and super seals to keep cold water out;

-poly fleece torso lining that adds insulation while wicking moisture from the skin; Durable kneepads, and a convenient key pocket. All these features make this suit the most technical one you can get for any water activities you might have.

Despite being a 7mm suit, it has excellent mobility which is a huge pro. It also has durability and a low price, so you’ll be happy about buying this 7mm wetsuit.

The obvious downside is that this wetsuit is the most expensive one on the list, but it’s worth it for someone committed to spearfishing who has a bit of experience on the water! It has incredible features that are well worth its price so you’ll be happy about the results that this baby will bring to you. Just dive and enjoy your excellent spearfishing adventure! Click here for current pricing on Amazon.

SEAC Men’s Komoda Yamamoto Wetsuit

The manufacturer of this wetsuit understands how important is comfort when going on a spearfishing adventure. Wearing an uncomfortable wetsuit for a whole trip would be torture and SEAC’s ensure a suit that is silky smooth to the touch.

There is a fine line between a safe wetsuit and a comfortable one, SEAC knows this well and could create a product that has a perfect balance between safety and comfort. Your chest will receive no harm when you are trying to fire or reload your gun.

One downside is that despite the chest is an area that receives a lot of padding; the groin area is unprotected, which might result in a bitter experience if you are not careful enough so watch out. If you are a newbie, it should not bother you.

The wetsuit is also extremely flexible and has excellent heat retention. Due to the dry fiber materials, you won’t feel those terrible chills each time you dive.

Despite being an incredibly cheap wetsuit, it lacks in a few areas. However, if you are a newbie on a budget, this might be an excellent suit for you and you should get it! You’ll be comfy and protected, but try not to make extremely long spearfishing trips without a backup wetsuit. Choose carefully where you will be spearfishing, and do first your research to know what to expect. Click here for current pricing on Amazon.

Before we say goodbye

We have given cheap and expensive options, depending on your skill level and commitment, you should take your pick on your wetsuit. However, if you want to get great results, you have to be prepared to spend a little more. Many variables can ruin a spearfishing experience for you, and you want to have the best odds on your side if you’re going to come back with a cooler filled with fishes. So, if you are into it and want to get better, be sure to invest in spearfishing to get the most out of every journey!

Hawaiian Sling vs Pole Spear

A Hawaiian sling is a crafty tool that is meant for spearfishing and has a mechanism that is similar to the one that the bows have. If you have experience with handling a bow and arrow, then it is of use when you are getting into Hawaiian Slings. It’s the same thing; the only difference is that the energy is in rubber tubing.

How to use a Hawaiian sling

Technically speaking, using a Hawaiian sling is rather simple, however, mastering the instrument is an entirely different ordeal. It may be easy to fire the first shot but the critical part lies in it hitting its mark, and that’s why you need to know well how Hawaiian slings work so you can make your shot most of the time.

The only parts that move in a Hawaiian sling are the rubber tubing and the spear shaft. The rubber tubing is attached to a wooden block with a hole drilled in it which has a slightly bigger diameter than the shaft. The rod is then pulled back while placed in the hole making the tubing propel it forward to a distance that would be impossible to reach if done by hand. That’s the magic of the Hawaiian sling, and as you can see, anybody can shoot! You have to learn to shoot well.

Some aspects you must pay attention while using a Hawaiian sling

First of all, spearfishing might be a cool activity, but it’s easy to get hurt if you are not careful, so always be on top of everything! If you are doing everything right, you won’t be in any danger so be careful when shooting it. It’s common to see newbie fishers holding the head of the spear close to their heads and tragically, there are a lot of cases of people spearing themselves so safety first.

When you have a target, make sure that you are not too far away from him because the spear will lose its potency and it will be impossible to hit your mark. Make sure that you are at least 6 ft away from the fish if not, the shot won’t be accurate. Don’t get too close though! Or you might scare him off. It’s the fisher’s dilemma, and it’s hard to determine the line between being too tight and too far but you’ll get the hang on it. It only takes practice.

It is obvious, but I must repeat it, don’t shoot your spear to a place where you can’t retrieve it! Remember that you are firing a spear, not a gun and you need it back to shoot again.

What type of fishes can you hunt with a Hawaiian sling?

Don’t waste your spears! Big fishes are not available for Hawaiian sling fishers; they don’t have the required potency to kill one. There are other tools for the big ones; you need to focus on catching a ton of small fishes! And that’s nothing to be ashamed of; there are a lot of occasions when picking a lot of small fishes is more rewarding than hunting a big one. Especially because hitting a small target requires a lot of accuracies and it tends to be very satisfying when you make the shot, especially if you are a first-timer.

Polespear

Polespear and Hawaiian slings are often confused because they are quite similar. However, they are not the same thing. Hawaiian slings are identical to a bow and arrow, the spear and propelling device are separate. In the case of the pole, the spear has the sling attached to the spear.

How to use a pole spear

The polespear is simple to use; you operate it placing the rubber loop in the crook of the thumb and reaching up the spear shaft to stretch the elastic band to create tension. Finally, release the grasp of the hand to shoot but remember to use your hand still to guide the spear. The penetrating distance that the pole spear has depends on the characteristics of the fish, so it fluctuates a lot.

Polespear tips and general knowledge

Flimsy spears.

Regarding flimsy spears, it’s important to twist the spear to stretch the band to keep the spear from bending.

A little science for you.

The more mass a pole spear has, you will need more band power to move it at the same speed as a lighter polespear. But don’t think that lighter polespears are better because of this! Extremely lightweight polespears won’t have enough velocity or force to penetrate a fish, so you have to find a perfect balance when picking your tool.

Hybrid pole spears also exist

Hybrid pole spears are made from two different types of materials, aluminum, and more flexible material. It offers the best of both worlds, they are rigid but still have the flexibility to absorb the fish movements when it’s punctured.

Hawaiian Sling vs. Polespear

It’s understandable that a duel between these two spearfishing devices exists, after all, they are incredibly alike and often confused. I would say that regarding the eternal fight between pole spear vs. Hawaiian sling it comes down to personal preference. However, there are actual details that make a device better than another. Want to know who is best? Stick around!

The Hawaiian sling has a slight advantage over the pole spear. Polespear is fantastic, don’t take me wrong! But in some situations, the Hawaiian sling is better. The more important reasons are that the Hawaiian sling is slightly more powerful and it has a more comfortable grip. On top of that, it’s simpler to shoot it.

What do you think about this? Which one do you prefer? It all comes down to personal preference and how well you handle what makes you feel more comfortable.

Best Scuba Dive Computer Watches For 2020

When someone new to the world of scuba diving is getting started and purchasing all the necessary equipment, the topic of dive watches inevitably comes up. And along with it come questions such as “are they required?”

The short answer is no; they are not. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t have uses — quite the opposite. Many dive watches are equipped with full-fledged dive computers, making them extremely convenient with unmatched portability. Plus, many divers wear these watches as part of tradition — they ’are made for scuba diving. A lot of it comes down to personal preference as well. Some divers like to wear a dive watch; some don’t.

The final decision is entirely up to you, though. If you decide that a dive watch is something you want to invest in, we’ve compiled a list of three of the best watches available to buy in 2017 to enable you to pick the right one.

3 Best Dive Watches Available in 2020

Dive Watch #1 – Cressi Leonardo Scuba Dive Computer

For those who are entering the sport and for those who just want to dive, Leonardo is a must-have. Some of you heard about Cressi. They are one of the leaders on the professional scuba diving gear. Cressi was founded in Italy in 1946 as a diving company with a rich vision in innovation. After 70 years, they keep the same vision on improving themselves and they ready to begin a new adventure and, combined with the advanced technology, their products are the best and most reliable from the market.

This computer is really easy to use and with a single-button interface. You could set it up very fast, and you have the option to choose between meters or feet, Celsius or Fahrenheit, air or nitrox, safety factors, and other parameters. Since it has 1 single button, the way to use it is short press and long press, where the short press is to change the menu and the long press is to edit something.

Once you go into the water, it is pretty easy to read, with long-press you can turn the light on for a couple of seconds. Also, the best features IMHO, are the heads up when you go up faster than you should do… it beeps and complains, in the safety stop it indicates easily the number of remaining minutes.

Pros

  • Complete RGBM dive computer (algorithm incorporates both RGBM and Deep Stop)
  • Air, nitrox, and gauge modes
  • Single-button interface makes it incredibly easy to program the above methods
  • Complete reset option, making it perfect for rental shops as well
  • The display system has been carefully designed to be as user-friendly as possible, making it easy to read
  • All of the display information is separated by light lines to make it easier to pick out the necessary information
  • Extended battery life thanks to a power-saving processor
  • CR2430 battery easily replaceable without requiring any tools
  • Software compatible with all versions of PC Windows and Mac

Cons

  • The light could be a bit brighter
  • Doesn’t log time and depth beyond most recent dive without separate PC link

Summary

Leonardo is a great, stylish option for anyone just getting started with scuba diving. It is more affordable when compared to the other options featured on this list and yet provides superb value thanks to features such as including a complete RGBM computer and the single button interface. Cressi knows the diving game thanks to decades of experience, and that expertise shines through this dive watch offering. With 871 ratings and 4.5/5 stars, it makes it a great buy. Dive Watch #2 – Oceanic GEO 2.0 Air/Nitrox Computer Watch

For a dive computer, Oceanic GEO it does all that it needs to do and is packed with additional features that you may not need. The free dive mode and nitrox settings are as yet untested and likely to remain so in both cases.

Geo 2 looks very much like a large digital sports watch and is certainly wearable daily unlike most PDC that is like a shopping cartwheel. One driving instructor I know uses an earlier model of the Geo 2 which had a chunkier and longer strap.

The one downside, that is reprieved by the provision of online training classes, is the manual, both the brief printed version and the pdf supplied on the bundled cd. Instructions are a generic term only, these are endless pages of directions, not instructions. The manual tells you how to enter each mode, but not what it does or why.

Pros

  • Can choose between Oceanic’s exclusive dual algorithm – Pelagic DSAT or Pelagic Z+
  • Four operating modes – WATCH, NORM, GAUGE, FREE
  • User-friendly “Step Back” option makes for an easy-to-use interface
  • Ability to switch between up to two Nitrox mixes to 100% O2 with zero restrictions
  • Stop times under 3 minutes that displays both minutes and seconds
  • Upgrades appearance with beautiful stainless steel accent
  • Deep Stop option
  • Auto-updating firmware
  • Viable on its own or as a backup to any dive computer

Cons

  • Lack of color options
  • More expensive than the dive watchlisted above
  • Instructions included are difficult to follow

Summary

While it is slightly more expensive than the Cressi option above, GEO 2.0 is a fantastic offering for scuba diving enthusiasts. The beautiful stainless steel finish combines with all the excellent features you would expect in a dive watch. If you are going to get serious about diving, this is an option you should consider. Dive Watch #3 – Suunto D4i Novo Watch

The last choice we’ve made is the Suunto D4i Novo watch. This new-looking Suunto is available in two options: black, white, blue, and lime.  The strap is made of silicone, ensuring great comfort and a nice fit. The case and strap are color-matched for a consistent look, bezel and mask prints are new and the buttons are made of metal. The Suunto D4i also offers versatile functionality. With four dive modes including freediving  Suunto RGBM algorithm, and the option of wireless integration, its the dive computer of choice for all divers looking for a colorful and lightweight dive computer.

Pros

  • Suunto RGBM provides full continuous decompression algorithm
  • Includes four modes – Air/Nitrox/Free/Off
  • Innovative apnea timer
  • Timer for air and nitrox modes
  • Firmware can be updated easily
  • Wireless air integration current cylinder pressure as an optional feature
  • Easy to sync with the Movescount.com sports community and logbook
  • Several different color options

Cons

  • Pricier than the others on our list

Summary

The Suunto D4i features tons of features, most notably their innovative apnea timer. Another benefit is the four diving modes included, mainly since it consists of a timer for air and Nitrox. While it is the most expensive option on this list, it is well worth the price tag. Click here for current pricing on Amazon.

Conclusion

As stated at the start of this feature, a dive watch is not an essential piece of diving equipment. However, many divers still swear by their use and they do have a long history of the sport. You can make good use out of the information they provide when you’re out on a dive. Should you choose to anyone, the dive watches we listed above are the top 3 you can buy, without doing too much research. And you can’t go wrong with any of these picks, depending on your budget and style.

Fun activities and games to play when scuba diving

Anyone who has ever gone scuba diving knows what a great experience it is. Immersing yourself in what seems like an alien world and seeing the incredibly beautiful sights found below the surface make for an amazing experience. Very few people ever go scuba diving just once — once they see what it’s like first hand, they are usually hooked and can’t wait to go again.

There is far more to scuba diving than just the simple act of diving though. While diving is an incredible experience on its own, there are several different activities and games that divers can enjoy to liven up the experience even more. Here we’ve listed a few of our favorite games to play while scuba diving for you to try out for yourself. We are sure you will find them as much fun as we do.

Treasure Hunts

The odds are pretty good that you won’t ever discover a sunken ship containing a chest full of long lost gold while you are out scuba diving. That doesn’t mean that you can’t experience the thrill of hunting for sunken treasure, however. With a little bit of preparation and ingenuity, you’ll be able to enjoy an epic underwater treasure hunt.

There are often two approaches to scuba diving treasure hunts. The first one takes groups out to actual wrecks or specific areas designated for exploration. Divers get to explore these same shipwrecks and areas that treasure hunters of old once did, and get to experience everything that they did. Minus finding a sunken treasure haul of course. Instead, as a replacement idea, perhaps the divers could go on a sort of scavenging treasure hunt, looking for common junk items found on the ocean floor.

The other way to enjoy a fun treasure hunt activity is to set up a mock one. You can set up several different ‘treasures’ around a specific dive site, and let the divers go off in search of them. You can even have actual prizes available for the diver who finds the most sunken treasure!

Underwater Geocaching

Similar to underwater treasure hunts, there is the option to go geocaching under the sea. If you are unfamiliar with geocaching, it is a real-world treasure hunting activity where participants hide objects around the globe and post the GPS coordinates on a geocaching website. Other participants are free to track down the object and sign a logbook that indicates they located it.

It wasn’t long until geocaching and diving enthusiasts combined the two activities. On any given day, there are several active underwater caches or scuba caches as they are called. Many of these are in some very interesting locations as well. If you are looking for something a little bit out of the ordinary to do the next time you go diving, consider looking into geocaching.

Underwater Card Games

Do you like scuba diving? Do you like card games like poker? If your answer is yes to both the questions, then why not try playing a hand of underwater cards? Using specially made waterproof cards, it is possible to enjoy many common card games while you are diving underwater.

Some players have even set up underwater tables and hosted entire poker tournaments while diving. And here is an interesting fact about underwater card playing for you: back in 2011, a group of 16 divers in Germany set the record for the longest underwater card game. They played a popular local game called ‘Sheepshead’ for 36 hours straight. Now that is some dedication!

Seasonal Activities

Depending on the time of year it is and where in the world you are located, there are a few fun things you can do. These also depend on the season and what holidays are going on. But your option for fun games to play in the water are numerous.

For instance, around Halloween, why not gather your diving buddies and hold an underwater pumpkin carving contest? And if the water is warm enough for you at Christmas time, perhaps you could exchange waterproof gifts with friends? You could all go diving and open presents underwater together.

Those are just two examples of seasonal diving activities you could try out. There are many others that you can opt for like an underwater Easter egg hunt? You are only limited by your imagination when it comes to possibilities.

Other Underwater Games (Chess, Darts, Frisbee, etc.)

There are several different games that you can add an underwater twist to with the right tools and equipment. Much like using waterproof cards to play games like poker underwater, here are a couple of other options:

You can play underwater darts by using specially made darts, or even by using common torpedo toys. You can even play the game of chess underwater, provided you use playing pieces with negative buoyancy. It is also possible to get specially made frisbees for use underwater, which means you can have hardcore frisbee games while diving. You can even add a twist to a few other different sports activities when diving, such as hockey or soccer.

Underwater Competitions

Another fun game to play in the water on your next scuba diving outing is to hold a sort of ‘scuba diving skill contest’. As with the seasonal activities, you are only limited by your imagination here. You can hold many types of skill-testing competitions with your diving friends, such as:

  • Races (try an underwater egg and spoon race for an incredibly amusing event)
  • Underwater knot tying
  • Underwater obstacle courses

You can even combine many of the games listed above into a ‘scuba diving Olympics’’. You could include races, obstacle courses, frisbee, card games, and treasure hunting for an all-in-one fun-filled scuba diving expedition.

Conclusion

As you can see, as great as scuba diving is by itself, there are all kinds of ways to spice it up a little more. Whether you are out searching for sunken treasure, winning some cash in an underwater poker game, or going for an underwater egg and spoon race, we are sure that the games to play while scuba diving  will have tons of fun. Try any and have fun. Or, why not invent a new game. Be creative. Are there any scuba diving games that you can think of which we didn’t list here?

JBL  D8 Is one “super” carbine, and you won’t be disappointed. Don’t be fooled by how light it is, it packs a punch and is easy to handle. The accuracy is not bad at all which is one of the most critical aspects when reviewing a speargun. This speargun is good for beginners and short-ranged targets.  A 16-year-old will definitely use it. It is great for small to medium fishing-hunting in very tight places where a bigger gun can’t be used.

One downside might be that you might need a bit of experience on spearfishing before using it, this is because it is harder to cock than your average speargun. The kickback is strong so be prepared to avoid getting hurt. Many people that have used this speargun state that you need to be strong and with long arms to handle it properly because its power might be overwhelming for a person who doesn’t have much strength. If you are between 5’’ – 11’’ it would be a perfect fit though.

The JBL D8 can throw a shaft alright after the bands loosen up a bit, it can go as far as 20 feet range with extreme accuracy. It can make it easy to maximize the fishes that you catch per day. Overall it’s a mid-sized gun that is 44’’ inches long which makes it able to be used in the reefs and when you are feeling like venturing into deeper waters.

The best thing about this gun on top of its fantastic resilience is its magnum grip and trigger mechanism. It has a threaded spear, making it an elastic speargun because you can replace the tip or swap it out in the case you are in the hunt for larger fishes.

JBL D5 speargun 19’’ mini carbine spearguns

The last one of our JBL speargun reviews is the JBL D5 speargun mini carabiner. Do not let the price tag fool you. Just like the other bigger brothers, Crabine is constructed from aerospace-grade aluminum. To make easier to hit the target, it is powered by .5 in Nitro Bands and has a small grip handle that will make you bring home plenty of fish, from your next spearfishing trip.

If you want to catch a bunch of fishes but without spending a lot of money, then this speargun is your go-to product. For just $72, you’ll get this baby which is durable, accurate and most importantly, the recoil won’t send you flying!

Despite being so small, it has a decent range, don’t judge a book by its cover! And evidently, it’s also lightweight so you won’t be fatigued if you are overextending your fishing trip.

Let’s talk specifications, it has a total length of 32.50’’, a shaft designed to have 714-SB, a maximum range of 6 ft, the weight of the speargun is 1.75lb and the shaft is spring steel.

What is spear fishing: fundamental concepts for a spearfishing newbie

Spearfishing started as an ancient method of fishing, but it evolved into so much more. Early civilizations use this technique to fish with sharpened sticks. It’s incredible to think that so many years have passed and this activity remains.

From sharpened sticks to spearguns and slings, spearfishing has evolved into something much more complicated. You might be overwhelmed when you find out that it’s not as simple as it looks and that it takes a lot of practice to master it but don’t worry, I’m here to teach you the ropes after this article. You will know the first steps on how to get into spearfishing!

What is spearfishing?

Scuba Choice Scuba Choice 5-ft Spearfishing Pole Spear with 1 Prong Single Barb Tip

First off, we should start simple and discuss modern spearfishing. In the current era, you need spearguns and slings to hunt for fishes. With a lot of patience and discipline, you can catch what you thought was uncatchable; it can be extremely satisfying!

The fact that this practice has lived through centuries is just proof that it’s the real thing and if you want to get into spearfishing, it won’t be a mistake.

Spearfishing might have a learning curve, but with a little bit of constancy and a whole lot of effort, you will be well on the way to become an outstanding spearfisher. The first thing you should take to heart is the spearfishing principles. Let’s see a couple of them!

Spearfishing principles

One of the essential principles of spearfishing is freediving. You might not have heard of it if you are starting but, it’s the correct way to hold your breath when underwater. The technique has to be your priority for efficient spearfishing.

Freediving will let you be underwater safely and for a longer period which will aid you on taking a steadier and more precise shot.

Freediving is not the only thing you have to learn about to become a spearfisher; equalizing is another diving technique that must be within your arsenal to succeed. Luckily, equalizing doesn’t take as long as freediving to master.

Equalizing is a technique to keep you safe from harm. The enormous pressure when underwater can cause severe damage to you, learning how to balance the load in your ears will be one of the most valuable things you will learn as a spearfisher!

Equalizing techniques

There are several equalizing techniques; they’ll get you the same result so pick the one that makes will you feel the most comfortable. And always remember to pinch your nostrils closes while doing equalizing techniques!

Toynbee maneuver

The Toynbee Maneuver is the most popular maneuver for equalizing due to its simplicity. Swallow while pressing your tongue to the roof of your mouth. It doesn’t get simpler than that!

Frenzel maneuver

This one is just like the Toynbee Maneuver but including sound into the mix. Pinch your nostrils closed and then make a deep prolonged grunting sound.

Edmonds technique

Tense the soft palate and throat muscles while pushing your jaw forward and down. Finally, pinch your nostrils and blow out gently.

Lowry technique

To perform this technique, you only have to blow and swallow at the same time you are pinching your nostrils.

The good old yawning equalizer.

Tense your jaw while moving it forward and down. I learned how to equalize while dealing with the extra pressure when flying on a plane. I always do this technique to protect my ears!

Equalizing tips for a better spearfishing day!

You have just learned what’s spearfishing and equalizing, but that’s not all you need! Equalizing is more than just a technique, and specific tips will help you a lot to have a safe underwater trip!

Descend feet first

It’s no coincidence that divers always descend feet first. Studies have shown that equalizing is 50% harder when you’re in head-down position.

Don’t blow too hard!

When doing equalizing techniques that require blowing, don’t overdo it. Just wait for that popping sound and don’t go any further, it can damage your ears instead of protecting them.

Don’t just equalize underwater!

Pre-pressurizing is a great habit to have when spearfishing, do this if you feel comfortable though. There are mixed opinions on equalizing at the surface but if it helps you have a less painful experience while going underwater, go for gold.

Look up

Looking up makes you extend your neck and stretching your neck opens your eustachian tubes (which is the point of equalizing)

Stop if it hurts

Kind of obvious right? But always important to mention. The point of equalizing is preventing any pain in your ears, and if you are feeling it, then you must stop and ascend a bit and balance again until you are feeling comfortable.

Avoid food that increases your mucus production.

Milk, eggs, sugary treats and other foods that increase mucus production are a huge no-no when going spearfishing. That excess mucus can block your eustachian tubes making it harder to equalize.

Before we say goodbye

As you can see, spearfishing is an excellent activity that involves a lot of interesting concepts. There is a lot of ground to cover, gear, boats and so much more to become a fantastic spearfisher but this first step to learn the basics is a huge one to help you move forward! Will be back for more content but now that you know the fundamentals and how to get into spearfishing, start practicing!
